Errata
1st movement
- m. 13, etc. – Basses – add lower octave, as later in the piece. Hanson uses these notes below the E-string.
- 9 and 11 after Reh. A – Violin II and English Horn – The concert D natural may seem incorrect but is very clearly marked with the natural in the manuscript.
- 3 after Reh. E – Violins I and II, Violas, Celli – add caesura at end of measure
- 10 after Reh. E – Basses – add 2-bar dim
- 17 after Reh. E – Violas, Celli, Basses – add dim
- 4 after Reh. H – Flutes, Oboes, English Horn, Clarinets, Bassoons – add f on downbeat
- 4 before Reh. J – Violins I and II, Violas – on beat 3, add the following indication: “con sord. poco a poco.”
- 9 before Reh. R – Percussion – add crash cymbal hit on downbeat (use both suspended cymbals and crash cymbals at the same time) – use in other similar passages
- 6 after Reh. W – Violin II – remove the tie on the D-flat in order to coordinate bowings with the rest of the string section
