The Orchestra's annual Symphony of Color Art Contest is presented with
the cooperation of the Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science.
The concert enlists students in grades 1—5 to create two-dimensional
art inspired by great works of music. The artwork of up to five
finalists from each school is submitted for judging.
Judges include EPO Music Director Alfred Savia and Evansville
Museum of Arts History and Science Executive Director John Streetman.
Contest winners receive cash prizes and Philharmonic concert
tickets. Wining art entries are shown during the concert, joining
expressions of visual art and music together in one performance.
Call the Philharmonic Education Department at 812.425.5050, ext. 316, to request and application packet.
