The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra has a new position on its administrative team!

The Philharmonic announces a new position open immediately:  

The Sales Associate/Administrative Assistant position supports sales efforts  in the area of earned income (single tickets, group sales, subscription packages, and program book advertising), and assists the Executive Director and other office staff and volunteers as directed in the day-to-day operations of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra.

Direct selling experience required along with strong customer service skills and computer abilities in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Access.

This is a regular, non-exempt, full-time hourly position starting at $10/hour and works 35 hours per week. The position is scheduled for 43 weeks/year with 8 unpaid weeks in the summer and 1 unpaid week at the end of December. Weekly hours are generally M-F, 9am to 4pm, but must be available to work concert weekends in the box office. Compensation includes a full health coverage package.

CUSTOMER SALES & SERVICE REPRESENATIVES

The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra is hiring part-time, experienced salespeople for telemarketing ticket packages for the 2010-11 "Out of This World" season.  The campaign runs the months of August, September, and 1-2 weeks in each month of October, November and December or as demand continues.  Three days a week: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday during evening hours 5:00 to 8:00PM at the EPO office.  Compensation: $8.00/hour plus commission on sales ranging from 10% to 20%. INTERNSHIPS

The Marketing Assistant Intern assists the Philharmonic's Marketing Director in the development and execution of marketing functions including but not limited to: press relations and releases, advertising and contracts, general sales, establishing community contacts, website maintenance, electronic communication and email marketing, bulk mailings, and assisting in the production, distribution and organization of all marketing materials.  Strong computer and communication skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are musts. 

The Development Intern assists the Philharmonic's Development Director in the creation and execution of fundraising functions including but limited to: establishing community contacts, electronic communication, bulk mailings, and assisting in the production, distribution and organization of fundraising materials. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to learn about fundraising in a non-profit organization. Strong computer and communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail are musts.
