The Gospel According to Swing is an electrifying, "tour de force" concert that journeys from early gospel through jazz. From Mahalia Jackson, Bessie Smith, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and beyond, Byron Stripling celebrates music that's oozing with the spirit and passion of gospel and bubbling with the joy of jazz. Enjoy "Down By the Riverside", "Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen", and "He's Got the Whole World". Finally, this concert wraps up with a soul stirring jam session combined with the beat of an old time revival. Selections include "Go Tell It On the Mountain", "Amazing Grace", and "When the Saints Go Marchin' In".
