2008-2009 Classics Series Print E-mail

Maestro Savia Welcomes You to the 2008–2009 Classics Series!

Maestro Savia This season is particularly near and dear to my heart as it is my 20th season serving as Music Director for the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. As we celebrate 74 years of providing live, symphonic music to the Tri-State, we invite you to share our passion for music throughout this season: “A Season of Love.”

This season we are launching a two-year celebration of Beethoven as we kick off The Beethoven Symphony Cycle. We will perform all of Beethoven’s 9 symphonies over the next two years. We kick it off on Opening Night with Beethoven’s propulsive Symphony No. 7 together with the electrifying pianist Alexander Toradze in Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto No. 1. Other repertoire highlights include Berlioz’s “Symphonie Fantastique” and Stravinsky’s revolutionary “Rite of Spring.”

I invite you to check out our season below ... then get the hottest tickets in town!  Order your season tickets today.  I look forward to seeing you in the audience!
