Goes to the Ball”
The Evansville Philharmonic Guild is sponsoring Retro III
Vintage Style Show, “Cinderella Goes to the Ball,” on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at the
Evansville Country Club. The popular
event will feature vintage ball gowns with “interesting histories.” A dress
worn during lunch with Princess Grace in Monaco and one worn at Richard
Nixon’s inauguration are two of the many to be featured.

Pat Bateman, Debra Talley, and Stephanie Ten Barge will
chair the event. Lucy Himstedt, former general manager of Channel 14 WFIE, and
Mary Bower, Curator of Collections at the Evansville Museum
will emcee the show.
Proceeds from the event will benefit tri-state youth through
the Guild’s sponsorship of Youth Concerts held this year on March 12,13, and 14
at the Victory Theatre and other music education programs.
