pga golfer Nick watney and national championship are big draws for evansville Philharmonic's sixth annual golf benefit
Evansville, Indiana - Participants of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra's Sixth Annual Golf Benefit at Victoria
National Golf Club on Monday, May 19, 2008, will get a chance to learn
golf tips from PGA golfer Nick Watney, sponsored by Toyota Motor
Manufacturing, IN, Inc. and Kenny Kent Lexus. Watney joined the PGA's Nationwide Tour in 2004 and finished 5th
on the official money list. In April 2007, Nick won his first PGA tour
victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. So far, in 2008, Nick
finished T5 in the Mercedes-Benz Championship and finished in the top
16 in the Masters. Watney will be available for media interviews from 9:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. and will hold a golf clinic from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
Another major opportunity this year,
Philharmonic golf participants will get the chance to bid on an
extraordinary golf package for two amateur golfers to play in the Lexus Champions for Charity National Championship at Pebble Beach on December 10-13, 2008, for a purse of $100,000, courtesy of Kenny Kent Lexus. This package will be sold during a live auction at the dinner following the tournament. This opportunity is only available to Philharmonic golf participants.
Benefit golfers may also get a chance to
win one of two hole-in-one prizes of $10,000, and a Lexus RX350,
courtesy of Kenny Kent Lexus.
The following is the agenda for the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra's Sixth Annual Golf Benefit, Monday, May 19, 2008:
8:00 - 10:00 a.m. Kenny Kent Toyota Lexus Test Drives
($50 for each test drive goes directly to the Evansville
Philharmonic Youth Orchestras)
9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Nick Watney available for interviews
10:00 - 10:45 a.m. Nick Watney Clinic
10:45 - 11:00 a.m. Rules/Shotgun Start/Watney on hole #16 throughout the day
4:45 - 6:15 p.m. Dinner/Awards
