Victory concert to close Youth Orchestras' season

Music from the movies, the stage, the opera house and the concert hall
will ring through The Victory on Saturday in the final concert of the
season for the Evansville Philharmonic Youth Orchestras.
The Youth Orchestra II, an ensemble of Tri-State students in grades
six through nine, will open the 7 p.m. concert under the director of
Sheryl Schuster.
STORY TOOLS
Their program will include music from George's Bizet's opera "Carmen,"
as well as Albert Davis' "Moonlight Masquerade," Agustin Lara's
"Granada," selections from Camille Saint-Saens' "Samson and Delilah"
and highlights from John Williams' music for the film "Jurassic Park."
The older orchestra will play Johannes Brahms' "Academic Festival"
Overture, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol, the fourth
movement of Antonin Dvorak's "New World" Symphony No. 9 and Leonard
Bernstein's Overture to "West Side Story."
