CHAIRMAN
OF TOYOTA MOTOR MANUFACTURING, INDIANA
TO BE HONORED AT EVANSVILLE
PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA'S OPENING NIGHT GALA
Evansville, Indiana — The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra's
"Philharmonic on Fire" season ignites with its 2006 Opening Night Gala on
Saturday, September 16, 2006. This
year's Gala will honor Mr. Seizo Okamoto, chairman of Toyota Motor
Manufacturing, Indiana, Inc, for his ten years of generosity to the tri-state
community.
Toyota
strives to improve the quality of life in communities where it does
business. Toyota does this by partnering with schools,
universities and arts organizations to support programs that enrich people's
lives. Last year alone, Toyota
invested more than $40 million in programs across the United States. During Mr. Okamoto's tenure, Toyota has donated $9.7
million to our tri-state community.
"We are so grateful for all that Toyota has done to make
our community a better place to live and raise a family," said Alfred Savia, Maestro of the Evansville Philharmonic
Orchestra. "We are honored to have this
occasion to thank Mr. Okamoto for his generosity."
The Evansville Philharmonic
Orchestra's Opening Night Gala begins at 5:00 p.m. with cocktails and hors
d'oeuvres in the lobby of Vectren Corporation's new building located along Evansville's
riverfront. Dinner, sponsored by Casino
Aztar, will be served at 6:00 p.m.
Following dinner, guests will be transported to the historic Victory
Theatre in downtown Evansville
for an All-Beethoven Concert featuring the Eroica Trio. The Opening Night Concert, sponsored by The
Martha and Merritt deJong Foundation, starts at 8:00 p.m. After the concert, everyone in attendance
will be invited to a dessert reception held throughout the Victory Theatre,
providing the perfect end to an evening of glitz, glamour and great music.
