EVANSVILLE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA TO HOLD ANNUAL LOLLIPOP CONCERTS

Evansville, Indiana - The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra will be holding its annual Lollipop Concerts April 24-27, 2006, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 5501 Washington Ave., Evansville. Concerts will take place at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. each day. Admission is $1.00 per child and $1.00 per adult, payable at the door. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Eight principal musicians of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra (string quartet, oboe, flute, horn, and percussion) under the direction of EPO Assistant Conductor, Joseph Choi, will present a 45-minute program specifically designed for pre-school and day-care age children. The goal of these concerts is to introduce children to the instruments of the orchestra and basic musical concepts, while providing personal contact with musicians and an opportunity for teachers to reinforce audience skills.
